Ubuntu for Hope is project that aims to take donated or refurbished computers,
install Ubuntu on them, and donate them to students or people in need. There is
no exchange of money. I'm currently in discussions with the Canonical Legal team
for the use of the name "Ubuntu" in the project,

I want to start the project in a limited pilot fashion in the Tshwane area, but
since we are learning, you are more than welcome to start an initiative in your
area. You simply need to have some ties with the Ubuntu-ZA LoCo team.

I want to partner with Local Communities that are already established in their
areas, as they are useful for identifying need. You can assist by bringing some
"ubuntu" to people in need, even if it is one person at a time. I know it will
have a lasting impact on South Africa.

I want to only do this project if I have the OK from the Ubuntu-ZA LoCo team.
Are you, as the members of Ubuntu-ZA, happy for me to continue? Are any of you
keen to help out?
